A writing aid for a real visit, not a finished review

ForkScale has launched a free restaurant review draft helper. It is built for guests who already dined at a restaurant, know what they want to say, and need help putting the visit into words.

The tool lives in the browser. A guest adds the restaurant name, city, cuisine, occasion and what stood out — food, service, atmosphere, value or drinks — then generates one draft at a time. They can refresh, copy the text, and open Google, Yelp or TripAdvisor to paste it themselves.

ForkScale does not post the review, choose a star rating, or send copy to any platform. The draft stays on the guest’s device until they decide what to publish.

How the helper works

The page is designed to stay specific. A draft that only says “great food and nice staff” does not help the next diner, and it does not sound like a real visit. The helper asks for enough context to avoid that:

  • Restaurant name and city, so the wording can stay local
  • Cuisine and occasion, so the tone matches the meal
  • Highlights such as a dish, patio seating or service detail
  • Short, standard or detailed length, depending on how much the guest wants to write

Hundreds of combinations are assembled locally. Only one version appears at a time, so it is easier to choose a starting point and edit it.

Use it as a first draftAdd the wait time, the dish you actually ordered, or the server detail from that night. Delete anything that is not true before you post.

Built around platform integrity

Google, Yelp and TripAdvisor require first-hand, honest reviews. This helper is not a workaround. It is a writing aid for people who already ate there and want a clearer paragraph than a blank box.

Restaurants can share the tool with guests who ask how to leave feedback. It should never be used to invent visits, buy reviews, or publish the same text across many accounts. That harms the restaurant and violates platform rules.

Owners who need ongoing reply work — not a guest-facing draft — should look at review management and the guide on responding to negative reviews.

Where to try it

The helper is the first item in ForkScale Tools. Open the review draft helper, add a real restaurant visit, generate one draft, then edit it before you post.

For restaurants that want a broader look at Google, maps, Yelp, website SEO and reviews, the limited $9.9 Local Growth Check Up remains available while spots last.
