ForkScale wants goforkscale.com to be usable by restaurant operators and guests, including people who use a keyboard, screen reader, zoom, or reduced motion. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. This statement describes what the site supports today, where it may fall short, and how to ask for help.
Who we are
ForkScale is a California-based restaurant marketing operations team serving the United States and Canada. This statement covers the public website at goforkscale.com, including forms, resources, news and the Review Draft Helper. It does not cover third-party sites you open from our links, such as Google, Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, TripAdvisor or WhatsApp.
Our commitment
We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time launch task. We design pages so information is available without relying on color, motion or a mouse alone. We are working toward WCAG 2.2 AA and toward applicable United States and Canadian expectations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act. We do not claim formal certification or that every page is fully conformant at all times.
What this site supports
- A skip link to jump to the main content.
- Landmarks for the announcement, primary navigation, main content, footer and cookie notice.
- Keyboard access for menus, FAQ panels, filters, forms and the language switch. The mobile menu can be closed with Escape.
- A visible focus ring for keyboard users, including a high-contrast outline when the browser is in forced-colors mode.
- Text that can be resized and pages that reflow on smaller viewports.
- Reduced motion when your system asks for it: scroll, reveal and button motion are shortened or removed.
- Alternative text on meaningful images. Decorative icons and images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Form labels, required-field checks, error text tied to each field, and focus on the first error after a failed submit.
- English and Chinese interface text. The document language updates when you change the language switch.
Forms and tools
Contact, Free Audit and Local Growth Check Up forms validate in the browser and announce status to assistive technology. They do not ask for passwords. The Review Draft Helper generates copy on your device. You can copy a draft and open a review platform yourself. If a tool does not work with your assistive technology, email us and we will help another way.
Known limitations
- English is the source language in the page. Chinese appears after the language script runs. If scripts are off, the page stays in English.
- Typefaces load from Google Fonts. That request is outside our pages and may not match this site’s accessibility work.
- Some marketing layouts use overlapping images or tight card grids that can be harder at high zoom.
- Linked platforms set their own accessibility. We cannot control Google Business, Meta, Yelp, TripAdvisor or WhatsApp.
- The cookie notice and promotional announcement add extra chrome at the top or bottom of the page until you dismiss the notice or move past the header.
We review reported barriers and fix the highest-impact issues first.
Compatibility
We test in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on desktop and a phone-sized viewport. We also use keyboard-only passes, zoom to about 200%, and periodic screen-reader spot checks. We do not test every assistive-technology combination, and results vary by browser and operating system.
How we assess
Assessment includes code review, automated checks, keyboard testing, zoom and reflow, and screen-reader spot checks. Automated scores alone do not mean the site is certified. We have not published a VPAT or a formal WCAG audit for this version of the site.
Feedback and other formats
If you find a barrier, cannot complete a form, or need the same information in another format, tell us. Please include the page address, your browser, and what you were trying to do.
Email info@goforkscale.com
We read accessibility mail and reply as soon as we can. If you need another path, use the Contact page or WhatsApp and mention that the request is about accessibility.
Changes
We will update this page when the site’s accessibility work changes and will revise the date above.
